David Thompson BSc (Hons) Physics, MSc Medical and Radiation Physics
Clinical scientist responsible for quality control of diagnostic x-ray equipment and instrumental in the transition of imaging departments from film to digital based imaging systems. Dave has been involved in teaching FRCR Part 1 physics for over 10 years and is a lecturer for post-graduate students at Keele University.
Sarah Prescott MSci. Chemistry and Molecular Physics, MSc. Medical and Radiation Physics, M(IPEM), MRSE (MRSC™).
Lead MRI Clinical Scientist since 2013. Sarah is responsible for providing expert MR safety advice to the Trust, as well as supporting advanced clinical MRI scans. Sarah has over 10 years experience teaching FRCR Part 1 physics and has previously lectured at the BIR UK MRI Course, and has chaired the IPEM MR SIG. Sarah is an author on the recently updated Farr’s Physics for Medical Imaging (3rd Edition).
Stephen Dainty BSc (Hons) Physics, MSc Medical Radiation Physics, PgCert Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance.
Clinical scientist in Nuclear Medicine Physics since 1996, providing support to both therapy and diagnostic Nuclear Medicine services and PET imaging. Stephen has been involved in teaching FRCR Part 1 physics for over 10 years and is a lecturer for post-graduate students at Keele University.
Harry Poole BSc MPhys Physics, MSc Clinical Science (Medical Physics)
Clinical Scientist specialising in both MRI and diagnostic radiology. Harry registered as a Clinial Scientist in 2015 and is now working towards a Doctorate in Clinical Science and becoming a Consultant Clinical Scientist.
Sam Butler MPhys, MSc Clinical Science (Medical Physics)
Lead Ultrasound Clinical Scientist, who also specialises in MRI. Sam registered as a Clinical Scientist in 2019 and is now working towards a Doctorate in Clinical Science and becoming Consultant Clinical Scientist.
Rachel Griffiths, MA, MSc Clinical Science (Imaging with Non-Ionising Radiation)
Clinical Scientist specialising in both MRI and Ultrasound. Rachel registered as a Clinical Scientist in 2016. Rachel is an author on the recently updated Farr’s Physics for Medical Imaging (3rd Edition).
